Neosoma is an story based action game which would combine street of rage alike brawler action with some racing elements in a cyberpunk colored game world. The concept was growing and got overwhelmingly complicated pretty fast, so I figured that I might not be able to pull that one off as a single dev and it landed on the shelf pretty quick. The main challenge I faced was the fact that I wasn’t ready to deal with the amount of character modeling, rigging and animations the game would have been needed. The prototype included a rough endless runner motorcycle racing mechanic and switching between different locations where storytelling and NPC interactions should have been taking place. Another little detail I’m particularly proud of was the menu with scrambled text which decoded as soon it gets pointed at – cyberpunk’ish. Neosoma was made using Unity 4 and Playmaker.
